Clark Weber’s Rock and Roll Radio on WLS Speaks at Ela Library
One of the best known deejays comes to Lake Zurich Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Join the Ela Area Public Library for a look into the life of Chicago’s WLS radio personality Clark Weber on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Ela Area Public Library. Weber will share details from his rock and roll DJ career as well as his insights into today’s music scene. From Barbara Streisand to Neil Diamond and the Beatles, Weber recounts the “never-before-told” stories about some of the biggest names in show biz which are chronicled in his new book.
As program director and dj at WLS radio in Chicago, Weber chose the music that played. He published a book in 2008, Clark Weber's Rock and Roll Radio: The Fun Years, 1955-1975. Clark was one of the best known deejays in the country, and this book includes stories about his memories and about the major singing stars of those days, including Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Monkees, Paul Revere and The Raiders, the Supremes, Simon and Garfunkel, Bobby Darin, Sonny and Cher, and many others, according to Barnes & Noble.
