A Closer Bond Dog Training takes to the streets to stomp out grumpiness for Great American Grump Out Day
Doing our part to stomp out grumpiness with the hug of a dog.
A Closer Bond Dog Training is doing its part to stomp out grumpiness on May 6th at 4:30pm in downtown Palatine in honor of the Great American Grump Out Day. We will be using the power of a dog, to induce happiness to those in Palatine.
The Great American Grump Out Day was started by Janice A. Hathy, a Kent State University graduate in an effort to spread the world with happiness one day at a time. “We saw this as an amazing opportunity to say hello, spread joy and develop new friendships the best way we know how, with the power of our dogs.” says Danielle Karlson-Perrott, Special Events Coordinator at A Closer Bond Dog Training (ACB).
Great American Grump Out Day urges everyone to go without being grumpy for 24 hours and reap the benefits of happiness like humor which increases energy and creates a positive attitude and laughter which strengthens the immune system and relieves stress. On May 6th… further by sharing the benefits of happiness a dog brings. According to Katy Cushing Owner and Director of training at ACB “while most dog lovers understand the immediate joys of a dog, many people are unaware of the physical and mental health benefits that accompany the pleasure of a furry friend.”

Studies show many benefits of the human-canine bond. Dogs ease loneliness, reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, promote social interaction, encourage exercise and playfulness, and provide unconditional love and affection. At A Closer Bond we have the pleasure of experiencing pure happiness while working with our canine clients and we are sharing the joy with our community.” says Danielle Karlson-Perrott
All owners and their dogs are welcome to join Grump Out Day on May 6th in downtown Palatine on the SE corner of Durty Nellies on the sidewalk below the train station between 4:30pm - 7:30pm. Come hug a dog, take a mental break and come stomp out grumpiness.
