District 95 Wants To Move Staff To Vacant Sears Building

LAKE ZURICH, IL - Administrative staff in Lake Zurich Unit District 95 plan to take over the vacant Sears Hardware building on Rand Road. The district's plan to consolidate operations inside the 23,000-square-foot building will include the administrative offices, IT operation and teacher training, according to a report from the Daily Herald.

The move to the building at 832 S. Rand Road south of downtown Lake Zurich will create efficiencies by having officials and amenities located in one place, officials have said. The current space for the administration at 400 S. Old Rand Road isn't large enough to suit the district's needs, the Herald reports.

The Sears space, the largest vacant retail property currently in Lake Zurich, could also become a space for school staff and parent meetings.
