District 95 K-12 Chess Tournament

            The Sixth Annual Junior Knights Scholastic Chess Tournament

                                             Saturday, April 28, 2012

        Open to all students residing in CUSD95 boundaries in Grades K-12

 
Place: LZ Middle School South Cafeteria at 435 W. Cuba Road, Lake Zurich
Time: Check-in 12:30-12:50, first round begins at 1:00PM rest ASAP
Format: 4-rounds Swiss pairing, Game/20—No eliminations
Sections: Grades K-2 and 3-5 and 6-8 and 9-12 (new this year – HS division!)
Individual Awards: Trophies for the ‘Top 5’ individuals in each section Medals for all players
School Team Awards: Trophy to top school team in each section, Team score determined by the schools’ four (4) highest scores. A team must have minimum of 2 players from the same school, no maximum number of players. Schools restricted to one team per section.
Entry Fee: $15 per player: Entries mailed by April 20th. Make checks payable to "Isaac Fox PTO".
Mail Entries: Isaac Fox PTO – Chess, 395 West Cuba Road Lake Zurich, IL 60047 or you can send them to Isaac Fox PTO Attn: Lisa Warren via inter-school mail (check with your school office).   Tournament players should know the rules of chess and be familiar with the touch-move rule. Chess sets will be provided. Chess clocks are not required to be used.
