Extraordinary Civil War Women and Their Quilts

Join quilter Kathleen Jayko as she explores the extraordinary lives of courageous Civil War era women and the quilts they made. Jayko will bring a variety of quilts indicative of the period to share with the audience. After the program, stay to view the exhibition Quilt Treasures: Pieces of History, featuring quilts from the Lake County Discovery Museum's collections.  Register online, or by telephone at 847-968-3321.

The museum is an anchor site for the Northern Illinois Quilt Fest, which runs through September 2011.
