In Lake Zurich, IL at Middle School South, two performances of the production The Witches are set for March 18 and 19. An amazing 55 students assemble the cast, crew, and student managers in the play, which is based on the popular novel The Witches by Roald Dahl.
The Witches is about a girl named Bridgette, who’s Grandmother knows many stories about the mysterious creatures called Witches. Witches look like ordinary women. They act like ordinary women. Except, their goal is to rid the world of all children. Bridgette discovers The Grand High Witch and her annual meeting, and has to plot with Grandmamma to rid England of all the witches. The Witches is directed by Kimberly Warren, with Kathie Winkelmann and Brad Mundschenk as stage crew directors.

Dates and times are as follows: Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30); and Saturday, March 19 at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1:30). Tickets will be sold at the door for general seating, first come, first served; the cost is $10 for adults and $8 for students/children. All performances are at the school, located at 435 W. Cuba Road, Lake Zurich, IL.
