Love INC Lake County Southwest, a local affiliate of the national Love INC Movement announces its Inaugural Benefit Breakfast. The breakfast includes a special presentation by Greg Wasson titled, Doing Good While Doing Good Business. Tickets are $30.

Grove Avenue Carnival

Head out to Grove Avenue Elementary School’s 26^th Community Carnival from Friday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Sept. 16. There will be carnival games, food and entertainment for the entire family.  Highlights include the Top Dog Contest held Saturday at noon, live music Friday and Saturday nights, cake walks and performances from the Broncettes, Bataille Academy and Epic Cheer. The festival runs from 5-10 p.m. Friday, 12-10 p.m. Saturday, and 12-5 p.m. Sunday.

Saturday, Sept. 15 at Lake Barrington Shores Community, 8 a.m.

Participate in a 5k or 1 mile run/walk at the Shores of Lake Barrington. The race starts at the Kelsey Marketplace on Route 59/Kelsey Road and continues through Lake Barrington Shores. All proceeds will benefit the local food pantry.

Stillman Nature Center Drought Walk

Sunday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m.
