Halloween Hustle 5K Fun Run & Walk Coming Up in Palatine: Sign Up Today!

The 9th annual event will start in historic downtown Palatine and include a .5K Kid's Dash as well as an after part at Durty Nellie's!

Now in its 9th year, the Halloween Hustle 5K will be held in historic downtown Palatine, and registrations are currently being accepted!

Participants will gather in the Gateway Parking Garage next to Durty Nellie’s at 180 N. Smith Street on Saturday, October 25, 2014 to sign in, and the race will kick-off at 8:30 a.m. on Eric Drive just north of Colfax, and finish on Carter Drive just north of Colfax. Halloween Hustle 5K participants will receive a Halloween Hustle long-sleeve dri-fit shirt and a trick-or-treat bag and children who participate in the Kid’s Dash will receive a cotton youth t-shirt, bib, goody bag, and pumpkin upon finishing.

Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers as well as the top three runners in each age group and by gender. Special awards and prizes will be given to: Best Individual Costume and Best Group Costume. Awards for this year’s winners will be greater than ever!

Pre-registration for the 5K is $30 for adults between now and October 18, and Kid’s Dash participants can register for $10. Click here to complete all registrations. If you’re interested in volunteering for this event, click here.

The charitable partner of this event is Fathers Helping Fathers, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping fathers’ rights in the areas of parenting and raising awareness about the positive influence committed fathers have on the development of their children. FHF develops educational classes and programs that help fathers in every aspect of being a parent from pre-birth classes, to toddler training, and dealing with teenagers.
