Inaugural Lake Zurich Craft Beer Fest Set for Oct. 10-11

New event to feature microbrew tastings, music, arts & crafts and more.

Northwest suburban Lake Zurich will celebrate the change of seasons, as well specialty microbrews, when it hosts its first-ever Craft Beer Festival on Friday and Saturday, October 10-11.

To be held in the picturesque village’s Henry J. Paulus Park (200 S. Rand Road), Lake Zurich Craft Beer Festival will take on the feel of quaint European street fest with a music stage, arts & craft vendors and food.

Fest hours are 5:00-10:00 p.m. on Friday and 2:00-10:00 p.m. on Saturday. General admission for adults is $7. (Note: No one under 21 years of age is allowed on fest grounds.)

The fest’s showcase event will be specialty beer tastings to be held on Friday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday afternoon from 2:00-6:00 p.m.

Among the beers will be those from Chicago’s Atlas and Goose Island breweries as well as Milwaukee Brewing, Cleveland’s Great Lakes Brewing, and Lagunitas (Chicago, by way of California).

The cost for a single day craft beer tasting pass is $40 in advance; $50 on-site. Tasting pass holders will receive a souvenir tasting glass and the opportunity to sample up to 20 three-ounce beers offered by acclaimed local and regional breweries. More than 45 craft beers will be available.

8:00 p.m. The Lounge Puppets (‘80s metal tribute)
