It's Homecoming Week! Go Bears!

It's Homecoming Week at Lake Zurich High School, which means it's time for a pep rally, the crowning of the King and Queen, and, of course, the varsity football game.

This year's theme is Lake Zurich School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Here's a look at some events coming up this week:

• Oct. 12: LZHS will hold the annual girls football games, with the juniors playing at 7 p.m., followed by the seniors at 8 p.m. Two teams of each grade level will be coached by members of the varsity football team. Tickets to attend the games are just $5 for adults and $2 for children. Students wearing Homecoming t-shirts can attend for free.

• Oct. 13: The school will hold its annual Homecoming Show at 7:30 p.m. The event will feature a variety show, game show, pep rally and a showcase of student activities. The Homecoming Show will also feature the parade of wizards and witches, along with the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen. Admission is free for everyone.

• Oct. 14: The school will hold its Homecoming Assembly at 1 p.m. The Lake Zurich Bears varsity football team will take on the Lake Forest Scouts at 7:30 p.m.

• Oct. 15: The Homecoming Dance will be held from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the school gym.
