The 224 customers who visited one Lake County jeweler between Nov. 29 and Dec. 24 are anxiously awaiting the results of a promotion that could mean a refund on their jewelry, according to the Daily Herald.

P.K. Bennett Jewelers will offer refunds on jewelry bought during that time frame if at least three inches of snow fell between midnight and noon on Wednesday at O'Hare, according to the article. The Daily Herald reports the jeweler is waiting to hear from its insurance company, which would handle the $151,000 claim, on the official snow results, according to the article.

"I am sorry for the delay," according to the post on P.K. Bennett Jewelers Facebook page. "I know its a bummer to have to wait this long, believe me my stomach is in knots over this."

More information on the promotion will be posted on P.K. Bennett Jewelers Facebook page when its available.
