LA Fitness General Manager Mike Whitmer announced that the new Lake Zurich health club's opening has been delayed. The opening has been pushed back a week until Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Whitmer said the club is open for tours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but is not available for workouts yet.
"We wanted to make sure the club is absolutely perfect before opening. We have some finishing touches, some small tweaks yet," Whitmer said.

Whtimer added that the good news is that the pre-opening membership rates will also be available for another week.
He noted that people who have already bought memberships are not being charged until the club is officially open. He said the club has been communicating with members via e-mail.
