Lake Zurich Police Contend with Thefts, Criminal Damage
Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from Sept. 11-16.

Retail Theft
An unknown female subject entered a store in the 500 block of Sout Rand Road just after noon Sept. 16 and removed compact discs, according to police reports. The estimated loss is valued at $600. The incident is pending further investigation.

Jose L. Robles, 23, of the 600 block of East Liberty Street in Wauconda, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Sept. 16, for driving with a suspended license in the 600 block of South Rand Road, according to police reports. A random registration check indicated the registered owner possessed a suspended driver's license. Robles was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while driver's license is suspended, police reports said. Robles was issued a Mundelein court date of October and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

Someone entered a woman's unlocked vehicle at about 4:38 p.m. Sept. 15 and removed some compact discs and money while her vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of Aspen Court, police reports said. The estimated loss is valued at $60. The incident is pending further investigation.
Vehicle Theft
Someone stole a man's vehicle from his residence in the 200 block of North Pleasant Road between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Sept. 14, according to police reports. The resident told police that his vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside. The vehicle had an estimated value of $4,000. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Improper Operation of a Commercial Vehicle
David A. Reposh, 53, of the 1300 block of Archer Avenue in Lockport, was arrested at 3:31 p.m. Sept. 13, after a traffic stop on Route 12 at June Terrace. Reposh was charged with improper operation of a commercial motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt, according to police reports. Reposh was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond with a Oct. 10 court date in Mundelein.
Vehicle Burglary
Someone removed several compact discs, an iPod charger and iPod sound jacks from a man's unlocked vehicle at 9:43 a.m. Sept. 12, while it was parked in the 1000 block of Aspen Court, police reports said. The items were valued at $350. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Someone removed a woman's purse, her wallet and cash from her unlocked vehicle at about 10:47 a.m.Sept. 12, while it was parked in the 1000 block of Aspen Court. The missing items are valued at $40. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Vehicle Burglary
Someone removed a man's Nebulizer, GPS unit, radio, Blue Tooth and power cords from his unlocked vehicle at about 11:13 a.m. Sept. 12, while it was parked in the 1100 block of Dogwood Court, according to police reports. The items are valued at $1,000. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Traffic Arrest
Hilda Gonzalez-Mareno, 45, of the 800 block of Perry Road in Mundelein, was arrested for driving with a suspended license during a traffic stop at 1:38 p.m. Sept. 12, in the 500 block of Telser Road, police reports said. Gonzalez-Mareno was charged with driving with a suspended license, according to police. Gonzalez-Mareno was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond with an Oct. 12 court date in Mundelein.
Criminal Damage to Property
Someone damaged a man's mailbox in the 1100 block of Poplar Court during the overnight hours Sept. 12, police reports said. The mailbox has an estimated value of $7.

Someone entered a man's unlocked vehicle at 4:03 p.m.Sept. 12, while it was parked in the 1100 block of Poplar Court, according to police reports. No items were reported missing. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Somone removed a woman's purse, shoes and several compact discs from her unlocked vehicle at 5:08 p.m.Sept. 12, while it was parked in the 1100 block of Poplar Court, police reports said. The value of the items is estimated at $340. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Unlawful Use of a Credit Card
Someone used a woman's credit card at 9:07 a.m.Sept. 11, to purchase a video game on the internet for $61.98, according to police reports. Police are investigating the incident.
Unlawful Use of a Credit Card
Someone removed a man's credit card from his locked locker at 2:41 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 1000 block of Old McHenry Road, police reports said. The stolen credit card was subsequently used at unknown locations to make purchases totaling more than $2,300. Police are investigating.
Criminal Damage to Propert
Someone damaged three mailboxes at 3:02 a.m.Sept. 11 in the 600 block of Red Bridge Road, police reports said. There were about 15 young people seen in the area prior to the damage. One possible offender was detained at the scene and released pending further investigation. Each mailbox has an approximate value of $50.
