Lake Zurich Police Labor Day Campaign Starts Soon

received a grant to conduct a Roadside Safety Check from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).  This is in conjunction with the Labor Day Campaign, which operates from Aug.  17 – Sept. 3, 2012.  This program will utilize the strategies of Education, Enforcement and Engineering to encourage voluntary compliance.    

The Lake Zurich Police Department will be conducting a RSC in the area of Route 12 and Route 22 on Friday, August 31, 2012 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.  If this is cancelled due to inclement weather, the make up date will be Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.  The focus will be on enforcing violations with Occupant Restraints, State Licensing Requirements and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and/or Alcohol.
