Fire Department Investigating Cause of House Fire

The fire occurred Tuesday afternoon on Tracie Drive in Lake Zurich.

The is investigating the cause of a fire that occurred Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 1, along Tracie Drive in Lake Zurich.

Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire on the 1100 block of Tracie Drive at 1:54 p.m. The first firefighters on the scene reported that fire and smoke were coming from the side of the two-story, wood-framed single-family home, according to a press release issued by Fire Chief David Wheelock.

Firefighters searched the residence for occupants, and the building was deemed "all clear." The fire was under control within 12 minutes. There were no injuries reported.

A number of local fire departments assisted Lake Zurich, including Barrington, Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Palatine and Wauconda. The Wheeling and Fox River Grove Fire Departments provided station coverage to answer calls for the Lake Zurich area.
