LZ Police To Hold Roadside Safety Check Tonight

The will hold a roadside safety check tonight.

The check will take place from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m. If it is canceled due to inclement weather, it will be held from Sept. 3 from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m. Lake Zurich Police said the focus of the roadside safety check will be on seat belt enforcement, state licensing requirements and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

. Among the tickets issued included: 10 for uninsured motor vehicles; five for not having a valid drives license; four for not using seat belts; and one for driving under the influence.

The Lake Zurich Police Department received an Illinois Department of Transportation grant to conduct the check.
