Messiah Preschool in Wauconda Commemorates 40 Years with 40 Celebrations
Messiah Preschool & Kindergarten announces its 40th anniversary. The school will celebrate this milestone with 40 Years, 40 Celebrations: a school-year filled with 40 events involving kids, parents, and families.
Director Erica Jawnyj says, “The fortieth year of our preschool marks an extraordinary event--40 years of love, faith, commitment, and excellence in early childhood education.”
Pastor Dawn Mass adds that this year “is a time to remember the vision of the school’s founders and rejoice in the many ways God has continued, and will continue, to bring his dream to life for the good of our community, especially our children.”

Messiah Preschool was started as a ministry of Messiah Lutheran Church in 1976 with just a few teachers and about 15 students. Today, the school has become a leader in early childhood education, is one of few area preschools to hold NAEYC accreditation, and serves children from Wauconda, Barrington, Hawthorn Woods, Lake Zurich, Island Lake, and surrounding communities.
