Announcing a new Continuing Education course at College of Lake County - Southlake Campus, “Writer’s Circle” (CWRT 40). This workshop-styled class meets Wednesdays, from 1-3:30 p.m. on June 24, July 1 and July 15 (no class 7/8). The campus is located at 1120 S. Milwaukee Avenue, Vernon Hills, IL 60061. Experience the joy of writing in this beginning writers’ group. Explore techniques to unleash creativity and get in the habit of writing on a regular basis. Receive supportive group critique to inspire and improve your writing. Examine other works for inspiration, discuss the art of writing and have fun creating and sharing your own writing. Bring a pen or pencil, notebook and your imagination!
About the instructor: Ms. Ehrke is a freelance writer who has studied writing at Northwestern University and earned a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Chicago. She has writing experience as a columnist, feature writer, blogger, corporate staff member, public relations specialist, and creative writer. Her first novel is under contract to be published. She teaches creative writing classes at College of Lake County, College of DuPage and Harper College, and is a writing coach for private clients.
