Police Blotter: B.B. Gun Used on Car; Mailboxes Damaged

The Lake Zurich Police Department listed these incidents among its official reports. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
DUI
James A. Bunker, 50, of 3903 W. Lakeshore Drive, Wonder Lake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 17 near Route 12 and North Old Rand Road. He also was cited with driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane usage. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a July 18 court date.

Warrant
Paul J. Carlino, 49, of 1405 W. Newcastle Court, Inverness, was arrested June 13 at 200 Mohawk Trail on a $50,000 Lake County warrant for violation of an order of protection. He posted $5,000 bond and was released pending a court date.
Michelle L. Matthys, 21, of 1047 E. Olde Virginia Court, Palatine, was arrested June 13 at 24 Johnathan Road on a $3,000 Warren County warrant for failure to appear on a possession of cannabis charge. She posted $300 bond and was released pending a court date.

Retail theft
Ryan C. Raskey, 30, of 2156 Pembridge, Lake in the Hills, was charged with retail theft June 16 at 345 S. Rand Road. Police said Raskey attempted to steal $203 worth of merchandise. He was held for a bond hearing.
Criminal damage
A resident reported June 12 that an individual damaged her mailbox on the 500 block of Farm Bridge Road. Damage was estimated at $50. Police are investigating.
A business owner reported June 13 that several juveniles damaged a men's restroom at a business on the 200 block of South Rand Road. Police are investigating.
A resident reported June 13 that someone removed lawn ornaments valued at $120 from a home on the 400 block of Pheasant Ridge Road. Police are investigating.
A woman reported June 13 that someone damaged her vehicle with a B.B. gun while it was parked on the 800 block of June Terrace. Police are investigating.
A business owner reported June 15 that someone damaged two windows with a B.B. gun at a business on the 100 block of South Old Rand Road. Damage was estimated at $500. Police are investigating.
A resident reported June 17 that someone damaged a mailbox on the 100 block of Butterfield Court. Damage was estimated at $35. Police are investigating.
Burglary
A man reported June 14 that someone stole the radio from his locked vehicle while it was parked overnight on the 100 block of South Old Rand Road. The radio was valued at $750. Police are investigating.
