Police Blotter: Copper Wires Stolen; Window Damaged

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Feb. 25 to Feb. 28.

Driving Under the Influence

James J. Swanson, 49, of 57 E. Irving Park Road, Roselle, was charged with driving under the influence Feb. 25 near Route 12 and Pheasant Ridge Road. He also was cited with improper lane use, improper use of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an April 9 court date.

Joseph W. Klein, 28, of 4584 Thornbark Drive, Hoffman Estates, was charged with driving under the influence Feb. 25 near Route 12 and Rugby Road. He also was cited with improper lane use and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 26 court date.

Warrant

Gregory W. Doose, 23, of 1780 Chestnut Lane, Hoffman Estates, was arrested Feb. 25 on a Lake County warrant for unlawful possession of firearm ammunition. He was released after posting bond.

Theft

An individual reported Feb. 26 that someone stole copper ground wires from a property on the 500 block of North Rand Road. The loss was estimated at $1,000. Police are investigating. 

Criminal Damage to Property

A man reported Feb. 25 that someone damaged the rear window of his vehicle while it was parked on the 500 block of Braemar Lane. Damage was estimated at $300. Police are investigating.
