Police Blotter: DUI Arrests; Possession of Cannabis
The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from Nov. 18-21.

Alcohol
Christopher G. Amen, 27, of 1514 Cobblestone Court, McHenry, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 20 near Route 12 and Golfview Road. He also was cited with improper lane use and unlawful possession of cannabis. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 17 court date.
Daniel M. Parisi, 53, of 93 Flint Drive, Barrington, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 18 near Route 12 and Evanston Terrace. He also was cited with improper lane use. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 17 court date.
Miguel A. Contreras, 43, of 268 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 19 near South Old Rand and Cuba roads. He also was cited with improper lane use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 10 court date.

Drugs
Devon C. Yakich, 21, of 170 Hawthorne Road, Barrington, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis Nov. 20 near Deerpath Road and Waterford Drive. Police said Yakich was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for having only one headlight. Police said there was an odor of burnt cannabis in the vehicle. Yakich also was cited with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 13 court date.

Traffic
Suzet L. Begesha, 47, of 1048 Catalpa Court, Beecher, was charged with driving while license suspended Nov. 19 near Route 12 and South Old Rand Road. She also was cited with having expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 6 court date.
Patricia Y. Velasquez, 26, 222 W. Forest, Apt. No. 303, Round Lake, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license Nov. 18 near Oakwood and Ensell roads. She also was cited with speeding. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 7 court date.
Kristine J. Bansfield, 55, of 85 Valley Road, Williams Bay, Wis., was charged with driving while license revoked Nov. 18 near Route 12 and Miller Road. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 7 court date.
