Police Blotter: DUI, Warrant Arrests

The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes and arrests from Aug. 27-29.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the . Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Taylor N. Taglia, 22, of 176 Jackson Lane, Bloomingdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 27 near Braemar and Berkshire Lanes. Taglia also was cited with improper lane use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI over .08. Taglia was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 26 court date.

James K. Watson, 35, of 2615 Reuter St., Franklin Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 27 near Route 12 and Ela Road. He also was cited with improper lane use and DUI over .08. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 26 court date.

Lisa A. Hart, 45, of 20W531 Rutgers Ave., Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 28 near Route 12 and Paulus Park. She also was cited with improper lane use and DUI over .08. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 26 court date.

Gregorio B. Higuera, 44, of 367 Inland Drive Unit 2B, Wheeling, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 28 near Route 12 and South Old Rand Road. He also was cited with improper lane use, endangering the life of a child, driving while license revoked, aggravated driving while license revoked and DUI over .08. He was held at the to await a bond hearing.

Traffic

Rafael A. Valencia, 29, of 512 Princeton St., Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while license suspended Aug. 27 near Route 12 and Miller Road. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 7 court date.

Warrant

Panthesh D. Patel, 22, of 8664 Gregory Lane Apt. E, Des Plaines, was arrested Aug. 29 on a $2,500 warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges. He posted cash bond and was issued a court date.

Theft

A woman reported Aug. 28 that someone removed a lawn ornament valued at $20 from her yard on the 500 block of Andrew Lane. Police are investigating.
