Police Blotter: DUI; Window Broken At Residence
The Lake Zurich Police Department reports crimes from Aug. 23-26.

Alcohol
Matthew D. Ruttenberg, 21, of 28764 W. Main St., Barrington, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 26 near Honey Lake Road and Route 12. He was also cited for improper parking on the roadway and illegal transportation of open alcohol. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 26 court date.

Traffic
Thomas A. Seliger, 45, of 219 Wagonwood Road, Round Lake, was charged with leaving the scene of a traffic crash Aug. 22 near Route 12 and Paulus Park. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 7 court date.
Abel Andres, 20, of 185 Milwaukee Unit A35, Wheeling, was charged with driving without a valid drivers license Aug. 25 near Route 12 and Honey Lake Road. He was also cited for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 5 court date.

Criminal Damage
A woman reported Aug. 22 that someone struck and scratched her vehicle while it was parked on the 100 block of Crescent Road. Damage was estimated at $1,500. Police are investigating.
A woman reported Aug. 23 that someone broke a living room window at her residence on the 200 block of South Buesching Road. Police are investigating.
Residents reported Aug. 24 that someone cut down a tree on their property on the 900 block of South Rand Road. Damage was estimated at $400. Police are investigating.
Burglary
A man reported Aug. 25 that someone removed his wallet from his vehicle while it was parked on the 100 block of North Old Rand Road. The loss was estimated at $75. Police are investigating.
Theft
A business owner reported Aug. 25 that someone stole two drill sets from their business on the 600 block of South Rand Road. The loss was estimated at $500. Police are investigating.
