Police Investigating Knife Incident at Sarah Adams
Incident occurred Tuesday outside of the school.

are investigating an alleged incident in which a student claimed to have a knife outside of Tuesday.
"No knife was displayed, but a knife was insinuated," said Deputy Police Chief Kevin Finlon.
He said police were notified of the incident Wednesday. Finlon said "a statement was made" by a student but that "there were no aggressive actions taken other than a statement that one of the kids was in possession of a knife." He added that there were no injuries reported.
"There was indication that he did have a knife, but, again, it wasn't displayed," said Finlon. "What we're getting is through the eyes of 10-year-olds, but we do believe there's merit to it and we're going to do what's appropriate."
Finlon said Lake Zurich detectives are working with the students, their parents and school officials to determine exactly what occurred.
“We were informed about an incident that took place this week involving a student. The situation was thoroughly investigated by the police and the school principal. Appropriate measures have been taken," said District 95 Superintendent Mike Egan. "The District cannot comment on confidential matters of student discipline.”
