Residents Recognized for College Accomplishments

Check out the recent accomplishments of these local residents!

• Elizabeth Bersin, a Miami University 2011 alumna with a diplomacy and foreign affairs major from Long Grove, recently received a 2012-2013 Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Australia. Bersin was one of six Miami students or recent graduates to receive this year's award.

• Elizabeth Scott of Hawthorn Woods has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Scott is pursuing a degree in the College of Health Sciences.

• Two local students helped plan Marquette University's Relay for Life event, held April 28. Thirty-three students planned the event, including: Hawthorn Woods resident Adam Petraglia, a senior studying marketing and entrepreneurship; and Lake Zurich resident Karen Dionesotes, a senior studying biomedical sciences. Both are members of the Colleges Against Cancer executive board at Marquette.
