St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School invites everyone to their 2nd Annual OktoberFest on Saturday, September 27!

St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School 2nd Annual OktoberFest! Arts, Craft & Vendor Fair during the day/German Hofbrau during the evening

St. Matthew, located at 24500 N. Old McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047, will host its second annual OktoberFest on Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. During the daytime, enjoy an Arts, Craft & Vendor Festival with activities and competitions for all ages. In the evening, be entertained by The Alpiners German Band followed by a great DJ...all while enjoying a German meal and beverages! Everyone is invited!

Arts, Craft & Vendor Festival - 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Free)

  • Arts, Craft & Vendor Booths - all day
  • Children’s crafts and carnival games - all day
  • Food & Beverages available all day
  • Kaleidoscope Creations (Make your own kaleidoscope! Registration required - limited to 30 participants) - 11:00 a.m.
  • Hay Rides - 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Pony Hops and Human Hamster Balls - Noon - 4:00 p.m.
  • Kids’ Contests - 12:30 p.m.
  • Scarecrow Building Workshop - 1:00 p.m. (Pre-registration requested)
  • Bingo - 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Ladies Stein Races - 3:00 p.m.
  • Men’s Two-Man Log Sawing Competition - 3:30 p.m.
  • Pumpkin Chuckin’ Competition - 4:00 p.m.

German Hofbrau - 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. ($5 cover charge - redeemable on snacks and beverages)
