
It's going to be a frigidly cold week for the Chicago suburbs.
A high of only -7 to 11 degrees is expected Monday in Lake Zurich with wind chill values as low as -40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts between 20 to 30 mph are in the forecast with gusts as high as 35 mph possible.
Temperatures are expected to hold steady between -10 to -14 Monday night. The wind chill values could be between -30 to -40 with wind gusts as high as 30 mph.
On Tuesday, a high of 1 to 5 degrees is expected. Wind chill values between -30 to -40 are expected. Wind gusts of 10 to 20 mph are in the forecast with gusts up to 30 mph possible.
On Wednesday, the temps will reach a high of 12 to 16 and there is a possibility of snow, according to the NWS.
