14th Annual Frigid 5K Planned Dec. 4

LEMONT, IL — It may not be the best time for running, but just because it's cold doesn't mean you can't get outside. Join the Lemont Park District for its annual Frigid 5K on Dec. 4 at Centennial Park.

The race will kick off at 8 a.m. Dec. 4 at the park district campus, 16028 127th St.

You can dress up like Santa, an elf or wear your best ugly Christmas sweater to run in the race. According to the park district, awards will be given to the top 3 runners in each age category, male and female.

Online registration ends Nov. 26, but you can still register on race day for $50.

There will be an after-party when you finish the race, including a hot chocolate bar, awards and refreshments.
