Volunteer registration will take place at the Lemont High School from 8 to 8:45 a.m. (the last bus will leave the High School at 8:45 a.m. sharp). The volunteer work will take place at the Quarries from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and volunteers will be bussed back to the High School parking lot at12 p.m. All volunteers will receive a drawstring bag, pen, work gloves, t-shirt, sweatshirt and water bottle at registration. Motor oil recycling available for motor oil, fuel oil, lubricant oil, brake/transmission fluid and antifreeze. Document disposal offered, paper recycling will be limited to 100 pounds per citizen. Business paper recycling not accepted. More info.
Lemont Park District’s Fall Fest
4 to 7 p.m., Centennial Park
Free event features live music by Timings Everything, a scarecrow building contest, kids zone, amazing kiddie straw maze, bonfires with FREE hot dogs and s’mores, hayrides and more! Lemont’s Art & Culture Commission’s “GIFTED” Gala
6:30 to 10 p.m., Lithuanian World Center Art Museum, 14911 E. 127th St.
