58 New Coronavirus Cases In Lemont Over Past 10 Days
Lemont (ZIP code 60439) has 393 cases of coronavirus reported as of Sept. 28, compared to 335 cases on Sept. 18.
LEMONT, IL — The number of Lemont's coronavirus cases increased by 58 cases over the past 10 days, according to data from the Illinois Department of Public Health. Lemont (ZIP code 60439) has 393 cases of coronavirus reported as of Sept. 28, compared to 335 cases on Sept. 18.
There is no available information regarding the number of patients who are hospitalized or who have recovered per town.
School is also back in session for Lemont's public schools. District 113A and Lemont High School both returned Sept. 28 with a hybrid approach.

District 113A is sharing data on COVID-19 in the schools, including information on the number of staff and students quarantined. The data was last updated on Sept. 25, so all student case numbers are at zero since students were not at school yet.
According to the district's data, since July 1, 26 total staff members have been quarantined. Four staff members are currently quarantined, and there has been six total positive coronavirus cases in the district.

Since testing began, IDPH is reporting a total of 8,240 tests have been performed for ZIP code 60439.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, there have also been six coronavirus related deaths in Lemont since March 16. The deaths included one woman in her 50s, one woman in her 60s, one woman in her 70s, one man in his 60s, one man in his 70s and one woman in her 80s. The most recent death was reported on June 17.
DuPage County Health Department has also reported one coronavirus related death in Lemont.
As of Monday, Illinois' coronavirus case count was 289,639 and the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 8,614 Illinois residents.
The state has also developed resurgence criteria to identify early but significant increases of coronavirus transmission. With the new criteria, the state also developed new emergency management regions, and Lemont, as part of suburban Cook County, is now part of region 10.
According to IDPH, as of data available on Sept. 28, region 10 has had four days of test positivity increases and one day of hospital admission increases. The most recent data shows the positivity rate at 5.1 percent for the region. Hospital availability for region 10 has 26 percent of medical-surgical beds available and 34 percent of ICU beds available.
