Community Corner

In 7 days, one week from today, we will create and deliver Christmas Dinner within our arm's reach, but tomorrow....

Tomorrow, Saturday December 19th at 9am we will begin the Care Box Assembly Day.

The 11th Hope and Friendship Christmas Outreach is 7 days away!!!!

But tomorrow we will create Care Boxes filled with whatever donations of personal care items, cleaning and paper products that we have collected.
One week from today we will assemble fully cooked dishes into Christmas Dinners for homes within our arm’s reach.

Care Boxes:
We will gather at 9am at the Lemont Township Office (1115 Warner Ave, behind Chipains) and sort and assemble Care Boxes filled with basic but oh so needed items for homes within our arm’s reach.

A box full of necessities that are very difficult to keep in stock in a home that is struggling to keep their head above the waves that life keeps rolling their way.

Find out what's happening in Lemontfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

These Care Boxes will be delivered on Christmas Day alongside of a home cooked Christmas Dinner.

Christmas Day Dinners:
If you are cooking for your own Christmas Dinner and have the time and means to cook one extra dish we will put that in a home that needs and will truly appreciate it.
Veggie dishes, salads, potato dishes, pastas, desserts, rolls/butter, chinet plates, any of the items that will sit on your table will be appreciated on theirs.
Drop off fully cooked food (if possible in portion size for 4 people- ziploc or disposable containers- to the Lemont Township Office (1115 Warner Ave, behind Chipains) between 11am-1:30pm on Christmas Day.
Want to offer food- drop off between 11am-1:30pm.
Want to help assemble the dinner boxes? Arrive at 1:30pm.
Want to help deliver the Christmas Care Boxes & Dinners? Arrive at 3pm on Christmas Day.

Know someone struggling financially (lay offs, loss of spouse, illness of child/care giver), physically (struggling with illness or physical disabilities), or emotionally (loss of loved one, life blow/set backs exasperated by the holidays) who could use this unconditional gift of Christmas generosity, spirit and love? Be the conduit of assistance. Email me ASAP to offer them this gift of a Christmas Dinner.

Have any boxes to offer? Paper boxes or boxes approx 2-3’. Too large gets too heavy. Drop off at the Lemont Township Office any morning from 7am-11am or bring tomorrow to the Care Box Assembly Day.

Email me with any and all questions! I am so looking forward to making these amazing and wonderful ripples with you!!! Thank you for keeping the true meaning of Christmas alive and active here in our corner of the world!!!
Wishing you peace,
Terri
