Adult Volunteers Needed to Help with Cardiac Screenings at Lemont HS

Screenings will take place Friday, March 11.

Lemont High School will join with Young Hearts for Life to offer free cardiac screenings for its students on Friday, March 11. However, to ensure that all students who sign up can get screened, the school still needs several adult volunteers to lend their time to this important activity.

Lemont High School expects to screen more than 1,000 students on March 11, and at least 75 adult volunteers are needed for both the early and late shifts. Volunteers will assist with various tasks during the day, and do not need a medical background.

These screenings can detect life-threatening cardiac conditions, and event organizers do not want to have to limit the number of students who are screened due to a shortage of volunteers.

It's very easy to sign up. People who plan on volunteering must attend a training session on the evening of Thursday, March 10.

Individuals with questions should contact Lemont High School Director of Activities & Athletics John Young at jyoung@lhs210.net or (630) 243-3210.
