Lemont's FBLA Chapter Wins Three State Titles, Secures 10 National Berths (patch.com) — Lemont High School’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter just brought home three state titles and 10 berths to this summer’s national conference in San Antonio. Students placed in 14 of 24 events at the state competition, continuing a long run of success for Lemont’s program and highlighting standout performances in areas like management information systems, sales presentation, and computer game simulation.
3. Mardjetko, Pickens Named Top 25 Finalists for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year (wivk.com) — A standout Tennessee softball pitcher with roots in Lemont has been named a Top 25 finalist for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. The Lemont native is among the nation’s leaders in ERA, strikeouts, and WHIP, putting her in the conversation for the sport’s top individual honor this season.
4. Government leaders statewide call for cashless bail reform after CPD officer killed – [your]NEWS (yournews.com) — Lemont’s own state senator, John Curran, is leading a bipartisan push in Springfield to tighten Illinois’ SAFE-T Act after a Chicago police officer was killed and another critically wounded.
