Asphalt Plant is good for Economic Development

I live in Lemont and am confused that a private business, which improved a former junk yard and now wants to locate a thriving, tax paying business, would be opposed by homeowners over 1000 feet away. Asphalt sites throughout DuPage County have been operating safely for many years and are much closer to residents. I want public health and safety to be protected. This plant will not affect either.
