Can you help rescue a cow!? Can we make "Lucy" ~ "Lucky? "

~Holstein Heifer from Palos Children's Farm has promise of new home~ If We build it, she will come

Erin Yanz is a force to be reckoned with. Her self made business enables her to live out her dreams, caring - and in turn sharing her animals with children in local communities. In lite of Thanksgiving I would like to ask to give back to someone that gives so much of herself to the animals she Loves...

Facebook is great for networking for things like this... so I have to try! For months now, the animal loving staff at “The Children’s’ Farm” in Palos has been trying to find a home for “Lucy” a sterile Holstein cow that doesn’t really have a purpose & desperately needs a home. They are running out of time, she will have to go to auction at the end of November so we have 2 weeks!

Lucy is kid friendly & beautiful. A gentle giant. I’ve offered to give her a home but I have no room in my barn. All of the animals would have an indoor space at night except her & winters can be harsh. She needs a shelter.... she can be out in pasture all day with the other animals but needs to have a warm place to rest at night. I’ve agreed to take her on & give her a home, care & to feed her but the shelter expense is not within my winter budget.

The Children’s Farm staff has offered to take a day & come build the shelter & even haul “Lucy” out here to my farm when the time is right but... I need help raising the funds... or just getting the lumber donated for her shelter. I can’t imagine that it will cost much. Something like a 10x10 or 15x15 wood panel lean to with a roof is all she will need.... anyone have any lumber connections!?

Lets make “Lucy ~ Lucky” this Thanksgiving!
Contact me through “ Erin’s Farm “ to help! Thanks!

In the comments below we have a list of the lumber needed. Its about $1100
