Kendra Anifer who will be a Junior at Lemont High School this coming school year has an amazing opportunity. She is one of 12 athletes from the State of Illinois that will be leaving for Australia on Sunday, July 2nd to compete in an International Track and Field competition.
As she embarks on her journey, the Lemont Police Department will be providing a Police Escort from her house to the bridge at the corner of Illinois and State. Please help us spread the word to Lemont residents as we would like to get as many people as possible to be along the parade path to wave, cheer and just show her we are all behind her and wishing her luck.
