Chalk It Up Lemont Planned For July 9

LEMONT, IL — If you love to draw with chalk, you can sign up for the free Chalk Art contest in downtown Lemont on July 9. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9 at the Lemont Metra lot.

According to the Village, the event will include chalk art, ice cream and a DJ. Each participant will be given a pack of chalk and assigned a work space. Participants can also bring extra chalk, chalk pastels and blending tools.

Prizes will be awarded for best use of color, most interesting characters and most creative theme, according to the Village.

The deadline to register is July 5.
