Chicago Area Weather: Severe Storms, Heavy Rain Possible
Severe storms are possible Monday, as well as Wednesday.

CHICAGO, IL — The Chicago area will see some storms and possibly severe weather over the next few days. According to the National Weather Service in Chicago, scattered severe thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon. There is a slight risk for suburbs like Aurora, Pontiac, Chicago, Joliet and Kankakee. The approximate timing for this storms would be Monday afternoon, from 2 to 8 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, the greatest threats with these storms would be heavy rain and flooding.

Storms are also in the forecast for Wednesday, as well as heat indices as high as 105 degrees, according to the National Weather Service of Chicago.
