Six local nonprofits, including the Hope and Friendship Foundation, received $10K from the company.

LEMONT, IL — The CITGO Lemont Refinery recently gave a holiday gift to six local nonprofit organizations. The company said Big Brothers Big Sisters, Guardian Angel Community Services, Hope & Friendship Foundation, MorningStar Mission, Special Olympics Illinois and YMCA of Joliet all received $10,000 each in monetary funds from CITGO to support their operations into 2019.
CITGO Lemont Vice President and General Manager Dennis Willig said in a release giving back to the community through local nonprofit organizations, school initiatives, and environmental programs has been at the forefront of the CITGO Lemont Refinery mission since the beginning.
“It’s an honor for the CITGO Lemont Refinery to be able to give an end-of-the year gift to these six deserving organizations and ultimately to the community they serve,” said Willig.
