Cooling Centers In Lemont, Earlier Start For Waste Management

A possible heat wave could bring the hottest air of the summer to Lemont.

LEMONT, IL — With temperatures in the 90s forecasted all week for Lemont, residents should be wary of the extreme heat.

In Lemont, Tuesday will be 88, Wednesday has a high of 90, Thursday a high of 94, and Friday a high of 91.

Cooling centers are available for residents in need at: Lemont Park District CORE, 16028 W. 127th St., and Lemont Township, 1115 Warner Ave. The centers are only available during regular business hours.

Waste Management will also begin service earlier due to the heat. Drivers will begin pick-up at 5 a.m. instead of 6 a.m., on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Village shared.
