Cop On A Rooftop Planned In Lemont Friday

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Police Department will participate in the Special Olympics Cop on a Rooftop event on Friday. The annual event is a partnership between the Law Enforcement Torch Run and Special Olympics Illinois, according to the department.

Officers across the state collect money to benefit Special Olympics Illinois at participating Dunkin' locations.

In Lemont, officers will be at the Dunkin' locations at Archer and Derby, and at 127th and State streets from 6 a.m. to noon.

The department said that T-shirts are available for a $20 donations, hats for $15 donations and mugs with a coupon for a free coffee for $10 donation.
