Crest White Strip-Rogaine Thief Sought in Lemont: WARRANT

Judge remembered Cicero man from another alleged Crest White Strip and Rogaine theft in January/

LEMONT, IL -- Police were back in court seeking a warrant for an alleged Crest White Strip thief ,who the judge remembered from a previous warrant in January.

Cook County Judge Peter Felice issued an arrest warrant for Robert Gilhooly, 35, who is wanted for felony retail theft that occurred Feb. 17. Gilhooly is accused of walking into a Target store in Lemont, where he stole more than Rogaine and Crest Whitestrips, police said.

“I remember him,” Felice said. “That’s not good.”

Police told the judge that Gilhooly was picked out of a photo lineup by Target security. The total heist was estimated to be $1,500. Police haven’t been able to find him.

Gilhooley has six prior felonies and is wanted on two other outstanding warrants, the prosecutor said.

In January, police were in court seeking a similar warrant for thefts of Rogaine and Crest Whitestrips from another Target store in Hodgkins. Gilhooly allegedly scooted out with $784 worth of the products.

Court records show Gilhooly’s last address as being in Cicero. His name also appears as “Gilhooley.”

He has convictions for failure to return from furlough and retail theft in 2016, where he was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Gilhooly also served a two-year sentence for stealing a firearm, the prosecutor said.

Judge Felice issued an arrest warrant for $100,000.

“This man doesn’t care,” the judge said.
