The Day the Turkeys will Fly is approaching!

Hope and Friendship Foundation once again invites all to participate on Nov 23, making turkeys fly, offering the gift of a Thanksgiving meal

"The Day the Turkeys will Fly" Delivery Day Sat Nov 23rd 10am-12noon

@ Village of Lemont Public Works Garage (16680 New Avenue, Lemont)

One of the blessings of the start of the holiday season is to pull up to a table with the bounty of a Thanksgiving spread. Many homes within our arm's reach struggle to afford what many other homes can easily put together. If you are able to offer a food donation toward our Thanksgiving Meal offering it would be much appreciated!

Many thanks to: the family of Richard's Building Supply who has once again blessed us
with frozen turkeys to help put meat on the tables; Taphouse Grill Lemont who is helping by hosting a turkey bowl on Sat. Nov 16th; Next Mex in Downtown Lemont who will be hosting a turkey bowl on Black Wednesday at 6:30 helping to raise funds to cover the costs of providing the means for The Day the Turkeys will Fly and for starting our donation drive for the 15th Hope and Friendship Christmas Dinner Delivery Day; and Jewel in Lemont who is collecting your donations at the registers to help put fully cooked turkey meal boxes in our homes that struggle to fill the table and bellies of those in the home. We put all of this and more together on Sat Nov 23rd in space offered to us by our Village of Lemont in the Public Works Garage. It truly takes a village and we live in the most amazing Village that makes such great things happen!

Donations of: potatoes (fresh or boxed), veggies (fresh or canned), canned/boxed Thanksgiving food, desserts, breads/butter, fruit, etc. can be dropped off on Friday into Blue Trailblazer (email terri@hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com for location) or bring to the Public Work's Garage on New Ave at 10am on Sat Nov 18th. Volunteers are welcome to join in the fun and delivery. 10am begins sorting time; 11am deliveries fly out.
Email terri@hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com if you need more information or another option to help fill every table here in our corner of the world that needs a bit of our generosity and compassion. Donations are also being accepted via our PayPal at www.hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com
