Dog Hit by Car in Lemont Needs Your Help

"Wrigley" was found injured on Lemont Road and 99th Street—and has a long road ahead of him.

A dog found injured after being hit a car in Lemont is in need of medical attention, but the owners haven’t come forward and the bills are adding up.

A good samaritan found “Wrigley” Feb. 4 around 2:30 in the afternoon, near Lemont Road and 99th Street. The beagle mix was taken to DuPage County Animal Control, where he remains alive and is expected to make a full recovery, but first he needs extensive medical care.

“My heart and everyone one else following ‘Wrigley’s’ story is breaking!” wrote the organizer of a GoFundMe started on Wrigley’s behalf. “‘Wrigley’ needs our support and be his voice! He needs to know he is a fighter and is NOT in this alone!”
