Dolomite Prairie Hike Planned At Sagawau

LEMONT, IL — If you're interested in learning more about the local terrain, head out to Sagawau Environmental Learning Center for a dolomite prairie hike on Sept. 18.

The hike will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 18 at the center, 12545 W. 111th St., in Lemont.

You can kick off Illinois Prairie Week with a hike through a dolomite prairie, according to the preserve website. Terrain will be rough, and hikers should bring sunscreen.

Registration is required for the hike, you can call 630-257-2045 to register.

The event is for those 14 and older.
