DUI, Domestic Battery: Lemont Arrests

Lemont Police reports through June 21.

The following information is from the Lemont Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

June 15

  • Carrie Schott, 25, of the 13100 block of Fox Hill Court, was arrested at 7:21 p.m. and charged with speeding 26-34 mph over the limit following a traffic stop in the 14200 block of 131st Street. Schott was issued a July 3 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

  • Byron Powell, 44, of Woodridge, was arrested at 12:36 a.m. and charged with DUI-alcohol, driving while license suspended/revoked, operation of uninsured vehicle, disobeyed traffic control device and improper lane use following an accident at 127th Street and Emerald Drive. Powell was issued a July 3 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

June 18

  • Aleksander Pecherek, 28, of Sunrise, Florida, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. and charged with speeding 26-34 mph over the limit following a traffic stop at the Lemont Road overpass. Pecherek was issued a July 3 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

  • Jeffrey Kazen, 38, of the 300 block of Short Street, was arrested at 6:08 p.m. and charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence following an incident in the 300 block of Short Street. Kazen appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

June 21

  • A juvenile was arrested at 10:53 a.m. and charged with driver's license never issued, speeding and obstructed windshield following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Freehauf Street. The juvenile was issued an Aug. 8 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
  • Francisco Rojas-Martinez, 39, of Cicero, was arrested at 2:12 p.m. and charged with driver's license expired more than a year, no seatbelt and no valid safety test sticker following a traffic stop at State and Illinois streets. Rojas-Martinez was issued an Aug. 8 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
