Earth Week Recycling & Canal Clean-Up

Lemont Environmental Advisory Commission will sponsor a community recycling event on Saturday, April 16, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Metra Commuter Lot, 101 Main Street in Lemont.  Items accepted for recycling:  motor oil, automotive fluids, electronics, latex paint, prescription medications, used bikes and parts, scrap metal, ink toner, cell phones and scrap metal.  For complete information, (630) 257-1590.  The Heritage Committee will sponsor its annual Earth Week Canal clean-up in Heritage Quarries Recreation Area from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m.  Vounteers welcome.  Meet at Heritage Quarries Pavilion on K.A.
