Fire At Shuttered Lemont Lanes Ruled Arson

Four juveniles have been charged, more arrests expected.

A fire at the vacant Lemont Lanes Saturday, May 2 has been ruled an arson, according to a release from Lemont police.

Crews were called to the former bowling alley, 1015 State St., after reports of a fire inside the building. The Lemont Fire Department, along with the DuPage County Fire Investigation Task Force investigated and determined the fire was intentionally set.

Lemont Police took over the investigation and have charged four juveniles in connection with the incident. The investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected. The juveniles who have been charged have been petitioned through the Cook County juvenile court system and will await a hearing date.
