The Forge: Lemont Quarries Plans Ghost Stories, Zombie Laser Tag

The Forge: Lemont Quarries is holding several spooky events during Halloween weekend.

LEMONT, IL — As the end of October and Halloween approaches, The Forge: Lemont Quarries has several spooky events planned during Halloween weekend.

If you're interested in hearing some ghost stories, you can head out to Fireside Ghost Stories with Orion Coulin on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 at the park. According to the park, you can bring a blanket and enjoy some s'mores by the fire as you hear a spooky tale.

The 45-minute experience is suitable for younger audiences, as long as an adult is there to hold their hand, the park said. It is $10 per guest.

If you're looking for something a little more active, you can check out the park's guided adventure game, The Tale of Talcott's Stone, on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. Guests will learn about a stone with paranormal powers that has been unearthed, unleashing evil spirits and creatures upon the quarries, according to the park. A guide will work with each group along the haunted trails to solve riddles and clues to find the stone and return it to its resting place.

Lastly, the park is offering zombie laser tag Oct. 29-31. Guests can try out the live-action, tactical laser experience at the park, immersing themselves in a post-apocalyptic world were a zombie outbreak has run rampant, the park said.

The game will consist of two teams battling against each other while simultaneously fending off zombies, according to the park. Zombie laser tag is $40 per person.
