Garage Fire Early Wednesday In Lemont: Fire District
The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes, the fire district said.

LEMONT, IL — A garage was damaged in a fire early Wednesday on Hunt Master Lane in Lemont, according to the Lemont Fire Protection District.
The district responded to the garage fire at 4:42 a.m. Wednesday, with the first unit arriving in six minutes. The fire was in the attached garage of a two-story single-family home, the District said.
After confirming all occupants were out of the home, firefighters began "an exterior fire attack." Additional crews started a secondary search and checked for any extension of fire into the living area of the home, the fire district said.

The searches were negative, and the fire was contained to the garage. The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes, the fire district said. Crews remained on the scene ventilating the home and investigating the cause.
Damage estimates are not available yet, and the fire remains under investigation by the MABAS 19 Fire Investigators.

The incident was held to a "still alarm" bringing 28 firefighters to the scene, five engines, two ladder trucks, one ambulance and other command officers, according to the fire district. Five surrounding fire agencies assisted, providing on-scene support and station coverage.
